College Ten

Established on 1 April 1999, College Ten began its journey as a newly developing residential college at Universiti Putra Malaysia. Under the primary leadership of Dr. Marry Huang as its first principal, various initiatives were undertaken to ensure that College Ten continued to progress academically and in co-curricular activities, on par with other existing colleges.

College Ten initially accommodated both male and female students; however, this changed in 2002 when only male students were allowed to reside in the college. The college mainly houses students from the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Design and Architecture.

In 2019, College Ten was merged with College Eleven, a college that accommodated female students from the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Design and Architecture, while retaining the name College Ten as the new combined college.

Today, after more than 20 years of operation, College Ten has successfully proven that a college inhabited by students from the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Design and Architecture is able to compete with other colleges in any field. This is evident as College Ten emerged as the overall champion for three consecutive years in inter-college sports. In addition, College Ten’s achievement in winning the Sanggar Genta Award for two consecutive years also demonstrates that its students are actively involved in cultural activities. Besides being active in co-curricular pursuits, academic excellence is also strongly emphasized among the students. This is proven by the ability of Engineering and Architecture students to achieve a CGPA of 4.0. The series of successes achieved by College Ten has earned the trust of the Universiti Putra Malaysia management to designate College Ten as a pilot college for the wireless program.
